Autism & ADHD are part of who you are.

Coaching & Peer Support with Brianne Leeson can help you find ways to be kind to who you are, while surviving in this capitalist hellscape that’s at odds with your brain.

AuDHD (a helpful portmanteau combining autism and ADHD) is extremely common, yet most resources ignore those of us who have this combination of neurotypes.

ADHD and autism coaching tends to be about doing things “in spite” of your neurodivergence, or it frames your disability as a “superpower”. Even the word “neurodivergent” becomes a substitute for the many types of brains that exist under that umbrella, with ADHD focused resources often being guilty of lateral ableism to those of us who are autistic as well.

Most ADHD resources involve group social interaction, which sounds like a fucking nightmare, when you’re an exhausted autistic person. Coaching for autistic folks can be even more frustrating. So many things intended to “help” are trying to change who we are, or make us endure more things that cause us distress.

What if coaching focused on finding ways to make ourselves more comfortable, rather than finding ways to change ourselves, to make the neurotypicals in our lives more comfortable?

It’s hard to be autistic. It’s hard when you’re AuDHD. It’s especially difficult learning about these neurodivergences later in life, and having to see your past through these new lenses. From my own experience, and getting to know other AuDHD folks, most of us don’t need help with productivity hacks or independence, which most coaching focuses on.

What if we focused on unlearning how society wants us to operate? What if we worked with our neurotypes, fostering habits that allow us time to rest and care for our brains?

We’ve been “productive” to the point of burnout and breakdown. For many, that burnout is the only reason our mask cracked enough for us to notice. Most of us need help learning what it means to function without pushing ourselves past our breaking points.

Do you know what it’s like to do your best at something,
without “your best” making you overwhelmed?

If that sounds like something you’d like help figuring out, then you’re in the right place! I want to take a personalized, intersectional approach to helping you work with your brain, to survive in a world that is not designed for you. Surviving in this ableist, capitalist hellscape is hard-
but you don’t have to do it alone.
